Is there a dress code?
Welcome, all ye hungry hearts and thirsty souls, to a place where comfort meets taste—our very own gastro pub, where the dress code is as easy-going as our vibe. Here's how you can blend in with the ambience while standing out with your style:
Shirts & Tops: Whether it’s your band's tour tee from '92 or that plaid shirt that's seen more adventures than a GPS, if it’s clean(ish) and you love it, we’re here for it. Bonus points for anything that sparks a conversation about your favourite concert or your grandma's unbeatable apple pie recipe.
Bottoms: Jeans, shorts, skirts, or those joggers you swear you didn't sleep in—come as you are, as long as you are covered where it counts. We're all about comfort, but let's keep it PG, shall we?
Footwear: From flip-flops to sneakers, if it gets you from point A to point B without a rescue operation, you're doing it right. Just be ready to part ways at the door with muddy boots or anything that’s housing its own ecosystem.
Accessories: Caps, hats, and whimsical socks? Absolutely. Let your accessories shout the personality your entrée is too polite to. Just remember, if your hat's wider than our doorways, you might have to navigate sideways.
The No-Nos: While we love a good party, leave the swimsuits, pyjamas, and bathrobes for other occasions. Unless it's a special event, in which case, we'll let you know when it’s time for the pyjama jam!
Attitude: Bring a smile, an appetite, and a story to share. Our dress code is simple: Be you, be respectful, and be ready to enjoy some good grub and great company.
So there you have it, folks—dress up or dress down, just make sure to bring your good vibes and an empty stomach.
What are your opening hours?
Our doors are open daily from Monday to Sunday, starting at 11:30 am until late. While we guarantee service until at least 12 pm, we often extend our hours later into the night, following the example of other restaurants that also embrace this flexibility.
For certain sports events, we're happy to welcome guests even earlier, so you won't miss any of the action.
Please take note of our special hours on select holidays: we close at 4 pm on Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve, and remain closed on New Year's Day, allowing our team to celebrate with their loved ones.

This means we take great care but cannot fully eliminate the chance of ingredient mingling.

What is a Gastro Pub?
A gastro pub is a bar and restaurant that serves high-end beer and food. The term is a merging of "gastronomy" and "pub," reflecting the establishment's focus on offering more sophisticated, often locally sourced, dishes and a wide range of quality beers, wines, and spirits. Unlike traditional pubs, which are primarily focused on drinking with a limited selection of basic food, gastro pubs emphasize culinary quality and innovation, aiming to provide a more refined dining experience within a casual, pub-like atmosphere. The concept originated in the UK in the early 1990s and has since spread globally, appealing to patrons who appreciate the combination of a relaxed setting and the opportunity to enjoy meals that are a step above typical pub fare.
What is the difference between a Pub and a Gastro Pub?
The key difference between a pub and a gastro pub lies in their focus and offerings, particularly regarding food and the overall dining experience.
In essence, while both pubs and gastro pubs serve as gathering places for eating and drinking, gastro pubs distinguish themselves through their emphasis on culinary quality and innovation, aiming to offer a more sophisticated dining experience within the accessible and informal context of a pub.
Pubs traditionally offer a straightforward menu with classic, hearty dishes such as pies, fish and chips, and sandwiches. The emphasis is more on providing solid, satisfying meals that complement the drinking experience.
Gastro pubs, on the other hand, prioritize culinary excellence, offering menus that feature more sophisticated, often chef-driven dishes. These menus might include locally sourced ingredients, innovative twists on classic dishes, and a broader range of flavours and cuisines. Gastro pubs aim to attract patrons who are interested in a high-quality dining experience as well as enjoying drinks.
What are the differences between some of the main types of beer?
What is the difference between beer and ciders?
Beer involves brewing where the sugars in grains are extracted, boiled with hops for flavour and aroma, and then fermented by yeast, converting the sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Cider involves a simpler process where apple juice's natural sugars are fermented by yeast, turning them into alcohol and carbon dioxide without the need for boiling or the addition of hops.
Beer offers a broad range of flavours, from bitter to sweet, influenced by the type of grains, hops, and yeast used, as well as additional flavourings such as fruits or spices. Cider's flavour is influenced by the type of apples used and can range from dry to sweet, with variations including additional fruits, spices, or hops to add complexity.
Both beer and cider can vary in alcohol content, but typically, beers range from about 3% to 7% alcohol by volume (ABV), while ciders are usually in the range of 4% to 8% ABV.
Beer, made from barley or wheat, generally contains gluten, which can be an issue for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. Cider is naturally gluten-free since it's made from fruit, making it a popular choice for those avoiding gluten.
Overall, while beer and cider may occupy similar spaces in the beverage world, they are distinct in their production, ingredients, and flavours, catering to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs.
